Fall Power Skating/ Puck Skills Program

This exciting program has been designed to focus on the skill sets needed for young players, whether to continue their pursuit of higher Rep. Hockey levels, developing their hockey 3/4 skills, or generally trying to improve their overall appreciation of hockey. The course will offer programs for Players born in 1998/1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002/2003.

Over the 10 weeks Coach Glenn, working in groups of up to 15 players, will focus on:

Power Skating

• Stride improvement, forward and backward
• Speed, power position, weight transfer
• Proper body mechanics, crossovers, edge control
• Explosive starts transitions and endurance

Puck Skills

• Stickhandling, puck control, evasive maneuvers, deking
• Shooting - forehand, backhand, wrist shots and one timers
• Passing - backhand, forehand, giving and taking passes
• Competing - Puck possession and protection, driving to net

Game Playing

Regardless of age, the ultimate aim is to play the game with passion under the rules and to maximize each player’s ability.

These 10 week sessions, aligned with the age and skill level of each of the groups, are designed to operate at a high tempo, with minimum down time on the ice. Teamwork and respect for the opponent and officials, motivation and leadership are all by products of this well organized, disciplined and creative hockey program.

Fee

The price for the 10 sessions with Coach Glenn will be: $299.00 + GST.

It may be paid off in 2 payments. 1st payment with registration ($165.00) and 2nd payment at 6th session ($149.00).
